Senior Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics, Band 6

Job Reference: 184-KMPGEN.21

Employer:
Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Location:
Frome/Wells
Salary:
£30,401 - £37,267 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to work as part of a friendly, highly specialised team in the Integrated Therapy Service (ITS) for Children and Young People within Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The post is in the Mendip Team and will involve a mixed caseload in Frome and the surrounding area.

The service comprises Paediatric Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists as well as Therapy Support Practitioners and Administrators.

The service is delivered by four integrated therapy teams working geographically across Somerset in clinics, schools, children’s centres, other preschool settings and family homes. We have a close working partnership with education and with health colleagues in other services. The post will involve working with children and young people aged 0-19 years old.

A post in the ITS provides the opportunity to develop integrated working with colleagues from Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy as well as ongoing professional development as an Occupational Therapist. There are lots of opportunities to become involved with supervision, taking students, service improvement projects etc.

We provide regular supervision from more experienced Occupational Therapists, including Clinical Leads, as appropriate to the post.

We are looking to hold the interviews on week commencing: 23rd September - however, the interview date will be confirmed after the closing date.
