The Role


Pharmacy IT systems and information manager - Band 7

The post holder will provide support and expert guidance in the use of information technology within the pharmacy department. This will encompass acting as system manager for the main pharmacy system (JAC) and supporting existing and future robotic and IT systems used to deliver the pharmacy service. They will work closely with both pharmacy colleagues and the Trust IT team to ensure that our technology is used both safely and to the maximum benefit for our patients. The post holder will act as the key link between third parties and the IT department.

This post will also support the procurement departments and will deputise for the Distribution and procurement manager in their absence

The successful candidate will also deliver training on the effective and efficient use of our systems and play an active role in future developments such as electronic prescribing.

The role will be based at West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth.

This post is ideal for a progressive Pharmacy technician with a passion for technology and enthusiasm for its application within pharmacy who, at the same time, would like to develop their skills in procurement.

This is an exciting time to join the Trust as we continue to implement Cerner and prepare for the implementation of electronic prescribing.
