Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust was formed on Tuesday 1st October 2019, following the merger of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust. The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.

Band: 2

Salary: £17,652 - £19,020 per annum pro rata

Hours: Permanant (Full-time and part-time hours available - flexible working patterns will be considered so long as the service can support the request)

Our bustling Community Hospital is set in beautiful grounds in the Roman town of Cirencester and provides a range of services to meet the needs of local people. The hospital consists of a busy In-patient unit with two wards, a Nurse led Minor Injury Unit; as well as an Endoscopy Department; Outpatient and X-ray department. There is also, Dentistry, Podiatry and Audiology services on site.

If you apply in advance, you have the opportunity to have a preliminary interview on the day. Alternatively, by visiting us, you will have a better understanding about whether we are a good fit for you and you can apply in the week after the Open day. Whichever way works for, we are flexible in our approach.

Our site offers free car parking as well as subsidised accommodation which can be rented for overnight accommodation when needed whichmakes this a very attractive proposition.

The inpatient wards provide a mixture of sub-acute care, rehabilitation and palliative care. Patients are admitted directly from GPs, Minor injuries Unit and from Accident & Emergency departments at the county’s Acute Hospitals. Patients are also transferred from the local acute hospitals and tertiary centres.

Successful candidates are expected to self-fund either an enhanced or standard or basic DBS check, and sign up to the DBS update service if required for the role.
