The Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre offers Level 1 and 2 services for patients with complex neuro-rehabilitation needs in the South West of England. Our team provides intensive therapy and first class care within a purpose built environment at our 52-bedded hospital.

Speech and Language Therapists(Neuro-Rehabilitation)

Salary: THG Grade 5 (£25,096 - £32,700)

Post 1 - Permanent Full Time post - 37.5 hours per week

Post 2 - Fixed Term Contract (9-12 months) – Full Time post

37.5 hours per week


Do you wish to develop specialist SLT skills working in neuro-rehabilitation within a supportive and collaborative team environment?


As a result of internal promotion and maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity for two Speech and Language Therapists to join our established SLT team

As a member of our supportive interdisciplinary team you will have the opportunity to:


  • Develop skills and knowledge working with clients who have complex cognitive-communication, language and speech disorders following brain injury
  • Assess and develop treatment programmes to manage clients with dysphagia
  • Be involved in interdisciplinary goal setting and outcome measurement
  • Plan and run a variety of groups
  • Manage a small caseload and provide intensive therapy within a functional environment
  • Continually develop your skills and specialist interests via in-service and formal training
  • Receive excellent clinical support and supervision with frequent opportunities for joint working


These positions are open to newly qualified practitioners and dysphagia training is available if required.
