A varied, exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Contracting and Business Development Manager to cover for 12 months for maternity leave. This can be as a secondment opportunity. The job holder will be responsible for supporting the Head of Contracting in managing the Trusts contracting and business development functions which includes delivering core functions such as drafting, reviewing and maintaining the required contractual agreements and contract variations and responding to Commissioner/CSU queries. Reporting to the Head of Contracting you will support the planning and negotiating of the Trust’s Contracts and service agreements with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), NHS England (NHSE) and Local Authorities (LAs) for the delivery of health care services. This includes active engagement with clinical and non-clinical teams in service redesign to meet contractual obligations.

You will act as the central point of contact for the Trust in responding to bids and tenders. Working for the Head of Contracting and Director of Contracting and Business Development, you will be responsible for coordinating trust responses and liaising with all finance, clinical leads and operations staff to ensure that bids are completed within the specified timeframes.

Excellent communication, negotiation and persuasion skills are requited at all levels to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
