Are you looking to develop your Physiotherapy skills across community, outpatient and inpatient clinical care pathways. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary teams delivering client centered evidence based care.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Central London Community Healthcare Trust Services. You will have a role developing your physiotherapy practice and deliver evidence based rehabilitation for clients in a variety of settings. Rotations will include: stroke unit, general elderly rehabilitation ward, musculoskeletal outpatient and Edgware Community Hospital and Finchley Memorial Hospital Sites, Orthopaedics at University London College Hospital, and Barnet Intermediate Care Services within clients own homes, clinics, residential and care homes, and community facilities. You will need you to build and maintain key relationships with referrers to the services across CLCH including the community Falls Prevention Service, Rehabilitation Units, Parkinson’s Unit, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases team, Learning Disabilities, Falls Services, Early Stroke Discharge Team, Wheelchair services and Musculoskeletal Outpatient services. This post may be responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation assistants and physiotherapy students and participate in any audit or research being undertaken by the service.

CLCH offers a variety of training opportunities to clinical staff and is committed in supporting continuous professional development of their workforce and offer regular in-services and CPD opportunities. The post is supported by Highly Specialist Physiotherapists, and the Operational Manager for each Rotation.

It is essential that you have current HPC registration and recognised qualifications as an Physiotherapist. You should have experience working with a varied casemix including patients with a neurological conditions, MSK, orthopaedics, care of elderly, falls prevention and working in a community setting. Can clearly demonstrate rehabilitation assessment and treatment skills and knowledge. Experience will include working in multi-professional teams and across a range of different agencies to achieve the optimum outcome for service users.

You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a positive and innovative approach to service development and have a commitment to multi-disciplinary team working and skill sharing. You will also have the ability to support and develop more junior staff and the responsibility to deliver training and use all relevant research and audit data to ensure the service meets the evidence base requirements. It is essential you have a current UK driving license, and access to your own vehicle for driving in the community setting.
