We are looking for an apprentice administrative assistant to join the pharmacy admin team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). You will be expected to provide high quality secretarial and administrative support to the pharmacy team.

You will attend City College Southampton one day per week to support you to achieve a level 3 business and administrative apprenticeship.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The pharmacy admin team is a small and friendly team who supports the chief pharmacist, five deputy chief pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be performing a full range of administrative and secretarial duties which will include:

  • organising and prioritising diary appointments, departmental meetings and events
  • minute-taking and drafting agendas and supporting documents for meetings
  • assisting colleagues with the health roster for the department
  • assisting colleagues with the weekly ward rota
  • providing general day to day administrative support for the pharmacy team as a whole

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who is:-

  • forward thinking
  • who has GCSE English and mathematics Grade C/4 Above
  • able to multi-task and pay attention to detail
  • organised and efficient with good IT skills
  • a good communicator with the ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds
