We have an opportunity to join our Respiratory Team on Kangaroo Ward at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We are seeking Experienced Staff Nurses (Band 5) who are keen to explore and develop their careers in providing care for children and young people with complex respiratory conditions requiring long-term ventilation via a tracheostomy and those requiring non-invasive ventilation to join our existing team.

Kangaroo Ward is a 9 bedded ward caring for patients with long term ventilation and complex care needs transitioning from hospital to home. There is also a dedicated sleep study bed. Our aim is to help patients achieve their full potential medically, developmentally and emotionally. The nursing team on Kangaroo provides varied input of nursing care from both low to high dependency, training families and community carers/nurses to prepare patients for discharge.
