Senior Clinical Pharmacist – Medicines Optimisation

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and forward thinking pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The role of the Senior Clinical Pharmacist for Medicines Optimisation is a role which will focus on the Medicines Optimisation agenda and strategy. The post holder will work closely with the Director of Pharmacy to promote Medicines Optimisation adherence throughout the Trust as well supporting collaboration with other organisations. The post-holder will also be an integral member of the Joint Medicines Management Group and Area Prescribing Group where they will support new product requests, provide assurance around adherence to medication related NICE guidance and maintain the Joint Formulary.

We are looking for a pharmacist who can demonstrate an aptitude for service development, clinical pharmacy, and patient centred care. As the Senior Clinical Pharmacist for Medicines Optimisation, you will work closely with the pharmacy team, hospital clinicians, GPs and CCGs medicines management leads. It is essential you can demonstrate experience of clinical practice, medicines optimisation and working with in a multidisciplinary team.

This is a high profile role at the Trust and will be an ideal post for a person who wants to progress their career as well as the medicines optimisation agenda.

There is an on-call requirement, weekend and Bank Holiday work by agreement.
