WE ARE CURRENTLY ADVERTISING FOR A

BAND 3 Therapy Assistant

37.5 hours a week (.84 WTE) – term time only

Fixed Term Contract – 1 year

Islington Additional Needs and Disability Team (IANDS) is a multidisciplinary service for children and young people 0-19. We are seeking a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will work the majority of the time across Richard Cloudesley Primary and Secondary school sites in Islington supporting the Occupational Therapists. Richard Cloudesley is an outstanding school for children and young people with educationally significant physical disabilities. You will also have a role supporting the wider Islington IANDS team special schools team with admin and resources. This includes Bridge Academy and Samuel Rhodes school.

You will support students in achieving individual goals around independence, self care, play and learning, through assisting with running individual or group sessions, and creating resources. You will support the Therapists with assessments at home and school, equipment provision, advice and training, and contribute to the smooth running of the service.

You will work alongside a team of experienced health care assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapist and full training and support will be provided by an Occupational Therapist.
