Would you like to work as part of a multidisciplinary Specialist Weight Management team?

Birmingham Community Nutrition has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in this challenging and rewarding field. This well-established service operates at Level 3 of the weight management care pathway and therefore acts as a gateway to bariatric surgery. Psychological support is integral to the way in which the service is run, supporting our patients through their weight loss journey for 12 months. As the Specialist Weight Management Psychologist you will hold a caseload of your own patients, holding community clinics across Birmingham, as well as supporting the wider team, which includes specialist dietitians. You will be the Lead Weight Management Psychologist for the service. Birmingham Community Nutrition Specialist Weight Management team is outcome focussed and keen to develop new ways of working. The post holder would also be part of the Trustwide Psychology Forum and supported professionally by the Trust Professional Lead for Psychology and Psychological Professionals.
