We have 29 operating theatres across 5 sites in the Trust. Our staff work in small, friendly teams alongside experienced anesthetist’s and surgeons and we are committed to keeping our focus on giving excellent care to our patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered children’s nurse to gain experience and contribute to the excellent standard of care we strive to deliver in our post anaesthetic care unit. You will have the opportunity to support the care of children from 0-18 years of age, while working alongside experience recovery nurses in our Paediatric recovery area. You will need to provide a full A to E assessment and management of your patients as well as supporting parents/ carers. You must be willing to work a range of shifts to cover the 7 days, 24 hour service and be happy to work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team as well as to work alone once competent. We want to employ registered children nurses who are either experienced staff, or those that are interested in learning post anaesthetic care skills. We will support your development every step of the way and make sure that you are armed with the skills you need to meet every challenge you will face by providing you with the highest standards of training on the job and via the Kingston University Faculty and our training department. About your roles: • You will be a Registered children’s Nurse or equivalent • You will have post anaesthetic recovery /ICU/anaesthetic skills • We will consider those with surgical ward experience • You will receive a comprehensive Trust induction and local orientation programme.
