International and Private Patients (IPP) ServicesBand 5 Staff Nurse – Butterfly Ward.

Butterfly Ward is a 22-bedded ward that includes four day-case beds and four Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) isolation rooms. The patient mix is predominantly haematology, oncology, immunology and BMT although the ward does, on occasion, care for patients from different clinical specialties. Although based within the International and Private Patients (IPP) Division, the post is an NHS role and therefore successful applicants will continue to benefit from the terms and conditions of the National Agenda for Change agreement.

Due to progression of current post-holders, we are currently looking for registered nurses who are flexible, innovative and highly motivated to join our friendly and dynamic team. Previous experience of caring for children or patients with haemato-oncological conditions is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided by our supportive practice development team. We are committed to enabling our staff to take up the many learning opportunities offered by the Trust, providing the support and encouragement necessary to assist those wanting to develop their careers further.

So whether you are a children’s nurse wanting to work at a World class children’s hospital or an adult nurse looking for a change of direction, we’d love to hear from you.
