The Role

Higher Level Dispensary & IT Support Technician

£29,057 - £36,134 per annum incl. HCAS

Full time 37.5 hours per week including late duty, weekend working and a Bank Holiday commitment.

We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our busy pharmacy team. The post holder will need to be organised, self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail, advanced IT skills and clinical and verbal/written communication skills.

The successful candidate will be required to effectively run the dispensary ensuring that workload is prioritised appropriately, monitoring of TTO turnaround times, supervising and training junior staff as well as supporting the IT systems manager in the implementation of technological improvements to the dispensing process and the maintenance of existing systems in order to enhance the effectiveness of the dispensing service as well as act as a robot supervisor to help troubleshoot any problems and queries that arise.

The successful candidate must be an experienced technician with good communication skills and have a demonstrated ability to coordinate a busy dispensary. Please note in order to support 7 day working this post involves working late duties and weekends on a regular basis. As a valued member of the pharmacy team, full support will be given to your continuing professional development.
