Applications are invited for a part-time Ophthalmology Consultant specialising in Paediatric Retinovascular to work within the Medical Retina service at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The Medical Retina Service includes a wide spectrum of clinical presentations dealing with all retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, vascular occlusions, genetic disorders, and ocular tumours.

The service is delivered by a multidisciplinary professional team of consultants, clinical fellows, specialty doctors, specialist registrars, optometrists, nurse Injectors and nurse specialists, supported by an extended team of trained nurses, specialist ophthalmic technicians, photographers, administrators and management.

All doctors are responsible to maintain a portfolio of their career over the last 5 years in order to satisfy GMC Revalidation criteria. If successful, you will be required to bring along your supporting information portfolio including recent appraisals documents when joining the Trust.

Please note all doctors from abroad must produce an IELTS certificate with 7.5 scored in all fields before they can be appointed to the Trust. It will be a condition of employment that nonUK nationals who apply to come under the Medical Training Initiative will have passed the IELTS exam with a score of at least 7.5 in all domains. You will be required to produce evidence of successful IELTS completion at interview.
