We are seeking a qualified Associate Public Health Practitioners, (Community Nursery Nurses) to join our Health Visiting Team in Watford & Three Rivers.

This is an exciting time to be joining our teams as we move forward with our integrated approach to delivering the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) to all our families.

As a Community Nursery Nurse you will share responsibility for the delivery of the universal Healthy Child Programme Reviews (HCP) on a 1 to 1 basis or in a group setting. You will also be able to deliver Tier 1 and targeted interventions, delegated by the Public Health Nurses.

You will be able to facilitate health promotion sessions and deliver activities in a variety of settings.

You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate in a sensitive and appropriate manner with children, families and other professionals.

You will be able to provide parents, early years settings and family support centres with advice, training and awareness on health related matters, including child development, healthy eating and behavioural issues such as sleep and toilet training.

Successful applicants undergo an induction programme and will receive the training required for the role. You will be supported with Restorative and safeguarding supervision.

In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,017 and a maximum payment of £1,762 per annum (pro rata where applicable).

A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
