CPFT are excited to offer a Neuro-Rehabilitation Assistant post within their Stroke Early supported Discharge team. This is a full time 6 month fixed term post.

The successful candidate will work within a skilled multi disciplinary team, and be an integral part of the team. Support will be provided to enable the candidate to develop their Neuro rehabilitation therapy skills within the team and there will be opportunities for ongoing learning and development. The Stroke Early supported Discharge team provide expert therapy for people over the age of 18 years who have had a mild/moderate Stroke. The team work with patients and their families for a period of 6 weeks providing intense Neuro rehabilitation.


The successful candidate will join our South Stroke Early Supported Discharge team and will have a base at either Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon or Brookfields Hospital, Cambridge.


The role will be working in the community setting with patients following a mild/moderate stroke. You will work with patients in their own home and also within our community inpatient wards. You will have opportunities to work closely with other multidisciplinary teams in the community, primary care, the acute neuro rehab team, the Early supported discharge for stroke team and other outside agencies. There is an in-service training programme in place. The post is within a multidisciplinary team and you will work alongside our Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist’s, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and Rehab assistants.


The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. As well as being flexible and adaptable to support service delivery across the organisation. This post is open to professionals with the right attributes to enhance a team.
