We have 2 exciting new split posts to work as a Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapists within the paediatric Multi-Disciplinary Teams based at Greenmead School and St George’s Hospital. The therapists will provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, advice and continuity to early years and school age children and their families with complex multiple disabilities and needs. Both posts will involve holding a caseload of children who attend Greenmead, together with a community based caseload with either a school or early years focus.

Post 1 = 0.6 WTE Greenmead Special School

0.4 WTE Community-School focus

Post 2 = 0.4 WTE Greenmead Special School

0.4 WTE Community- Early Years focus.

Term Time Only will be considered.

You will need to have:

  • Experience of working with children with complex needs
  • Experience of working in specialist schools & nurseries with children with physical and complex needs.
  • Knowledge of assessment and intervention approaches for children with complex needs
  • Knowledge and experience of specialist equipment and its prescription
  • The ability to work closely and effectively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team based at Greenmead and the community physiotherapy team based at St George's as well as school staff, parents and others in order to support early years and school age children with complex multiple disabilities and needs.
  • The ability to devise, implement and review therapy plans
  • Knowledge of current intervention policies, practice and national drivers including the EHCP process
  • The ability to support and supervise students, junior staff and others
  • The ability to work autonomously, flexibly and under sometimes challenging conditions
  • Enthusiasm, imagination and initiative
