An opportunity has become available for a speciality administration team clerk role to join our speciality administration team for the ArMD/RVO service working within Ophthalmology in the eye unit at Southampton General Hospital. We are recruiting a full time post at 37.5 hours.

Within the ArMD/RVO service it is important that our patients have their appointments made within our strict guidelines to ensure treatment is given in a timely manner, due to the urgency of the treatment required for our patients, the ability to be flexible, adhere to guidelines, able to communicate with patients and medical staff and to be organised with an attention to detail is essential for this role.

Duties will include dealing with telephone queries, registering new patients, working within the eReferral systems, making new and follow up appointments, rescheduling appointments, prepping paper lite clinics, booking specialised treatment in accordance with our guidelines and to adhere to our patient pathways.

This will involve using the hospital computer systems, training will be given on site.

Admin opening hours are 08.00- 18.00 Monday to Saturday on a rota basis.

A rota for these duties is in operation so some flexibility is important.
