Reed Ward are looking for RMN, RGN & Learning Disability Staff Nurses committed and able to integrate within an established multi-disciplinary team. You will need to be enthusiastic and conscientious in providing an evidence based approach to patient centered care. We will accept applications from General Registered Nurses, Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses.

Reed ward is an Acute inpatient ward providing assessment and treatment for patients with complex dementia diagnosis and Physical health needs. We are a very motivated and skilled team which gained a "Good" rating by the CQC in 2018.

Reed ward has many areas of interest and groups for you to participate in to help our patients, Dementia Care Mapping, Physical health monitoring and carer/family engagement are a few of them. Reed ward is part of the Hammerton court complex of 3 Dementia care wards. It is a purpose built building designed for Dementia patients. We regularly have fun days whereby staff and patients enjoy different activities from fete's to visits by miniature donkeys!

As a Staff Nurse on Reed ward you will be involved in the CLIP model of Student Nurse training and be required to provide line management supervision for junior members of the team.

You will be supported in attending statutory and mandatory training, as well as other courses that will support you in your role. Your performance and development needs will be reviewed regularly through management and clinical supervision and the organisations appraisal process.

Nurses who have recently qualified will receive a robust preceptorship pack and nurses wanting a change of career will be supported to enhance their transferable skills.

This post attracts a recruitment premium of £3000 for Mental Health Nurses. This is a one off payment with half paid on appointment and half paid after the completion of a satisfactory probation period (6 months). The premium is taxable. Please note that should you leave employment, or choose to move to an alternative post within the Trust that does not attract this recruitment premium, you will be required to reimburse all or some it, as follows: 100% of the value of the premium in the first 12 months; 50% of the value of the premium in the period 12 months to 2 years following appointment.
