An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the multi-disciplinary team working in the Emergency Department at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, as part of a job share. The aims of the team are to prevent avoidable admissions, support patient flow through the hospital and to contribute to safe discharges. It is an exciting development for Speech and Language Therapy with lots of opportunities to shape the service delivery within this area and to improve clinical practice. You will be required to have excellent working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team and to provide appropriate education/training as required. This role also includes the supervision and training of Generic Therapy Support Workers who assist in Speech and Language Therapy provision across the Emergency Department. There is potential for flexible 7 day working to be implemented.
