Medical Day Care @ Birmingham Children’s Hospital Site

 

An exciting opportunity to join the Medical Day Care Team – Full Time Post.

 

 Medical Day Care is a 14 bedded Nurse led ward caring for children who have chronic and long term conditions. We look after children with a wide range of conditions who require regular treatments or diagnostic procedures.

We are nurse led ward, caring for up to 24 children and young people on a daily basis. Children attend the ward for various intravenous therapies, blood transfusions, diagnostic imaging, allergy testing. We also provide nursing support in Radiology by looking children undergoing diagnostic imaging.

Some children attend once only, others may attend weekly or monthly. Therefore it is essential they are welcomed into a friendly and dynamic team, to enhance their stay whilst with us.

The ward is open Monday to Friday 07.30-18.30 (excluding bank holidays). If successful you would be expected to work in these times.
