Are you an ophthalmic nurse looking for a challenge or a change in career? This is an exciting time to be working at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation trust Ophthalmology services. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join our ophthalmic nursing teams in a new Band 7 role, working alongside the Lead Nurse, clinical practice educator and charge nurses the post holder will help support them in leading, negotiating, supervising and participate in managing the Royal Free NHS ophthalmology service. The post holder should have experience in ophthalmology nursing, training, development of evidence based clinical guidelines/policies and leadership capabilities. The successful applicant will be expected to work without supervision and working alongside the ophthalmology team to provide safe and effective patient care

The post will be based across multiple sites, the Royal Free Hampstead, Whittington hospital, St Pancreas eye centre, Chase farm hospital, Edgware community hospital and Barnet Hospital depending on work demands.

The post will be full time at 37.5 hours and will be supported by a Band 8 and Clinical practice educators. We are committed to ensuring our nurses receive quality evidenced based training that will mirror our World Class Care Trusts values.
