An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Band 4 Resource Supervisor to join our team in the Theatre Resource team based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

 

Knowledge and experience of working in a Sterile Stores would be beneficial, as the successful candidate’s duties will include managing the Theatre Resource Workers in day to day tasks, To assist in the co-ordination of equipment and financial resources required to support patient care within Theatre department. This will predominantly be delivered through the maintenance of stock management, procurement, Theatre Resource Team management, Equipment repairs/maintenance (including service contracts) and day to day management of Theatre Resource Issues, liaising with Company Representatives, identifying CIP’s being a link with Theatre staff & medics

 

The Theatre department at Birmingham Children’s Hospital consists of over 20 clinical areas including operating theatres covering many specialties including cardiac, ENT, Ophthalmic, plastics, trauma and Orthopaedics, burns, general surgery, Neuro and many others. Our recently redesigned theatre department also includes a state of the art integrated laparoscopic theatre, Hybrid cardiac theatre and a dedicated Angio suite.

 

Birmingham Children’s Hospital has been rapidly expanding its clinical capacity in recent months and this new post offers an opportunity to join a Foundation Trust at an exciting stage in its development. The hospital provides a supportive management environment through its Clinical Directorate structure, whilst our focus upon Paediatric care is both stimulating and rewarding.
