Exceptional new opportunities at Moorfields

Founded in 1804, Moorfields Eye Hospital is a world-class centre of excellence for eye health services, ophthalmic research and education. We are true pioneers in the fight to cure blindness. Every year we treat more than 750,000 patients at City Road in central London and at 30 satellites, and, in partnership with the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, we lead one of the most impactful ophthalmic research programmes in the world. We train many of the leading eye care clinicians in the UK and internationally, and have a global reputation for quality and professionalism in ophthalmic care. In addition, Moorfields operates two commercial businesses whose profits support our NHS work: Moorfields Private and Moorfields UAE.

The Moorfields Way is to be caring, organised, excellent and inclusive, and we expect all applicants for our posts to commit to upholding these values.

Moorfields is recognised as one of the best ophthalmic eye hospitals in the world and we pride ourselves on the professionalism of our nurses and the quality of the nursing care we provide.

Moorfields at Bedford offers a comprehensive ophthalmic service to our patients in Bedfordshire and surrounding counties. We are looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Nurse with an interest in developing their practice and Leadership skills in our busy ophthalmic outpatient setting. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team of nursing staff and develop your skills further in this field in a supportive environment.

We would also welcome RGNS without Ophthalmic experience / newly qualified staff as we would support and develop to gain the necessary skills and knowledge in this advancing speciality.

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible, enthusiastic and committed to bringing the highest level of nursing care patients in line with the Quality Agenda of the NHS.
