With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

We are offering a rewarding and challenging role within our Dietetic Services based across University Hospital of North Tees and University Hospital of Hartlepool.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed dietitian to join the Nutrition and Dietetic team covering the North Tees and Hartlepool area, delivering care to inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, and groups.

This is a rotational post and where we will provide you with robust induction support and the opportunity to gain experience & develop skills in a range of specialities including general medicine, surgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, respiratory medicine, paediatrics, diabetes & oncology, with opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in other areas according to individual and service needs.

There is access to dietetic assistants and clerical and administrative staff and excellent IT facilities. The service is part of Out of Hospital Care Services which includes SLT, OT and Physio colleagues, making MDT working accessible. The department is involved in clinical pathways, audit, continuous professional development and student training. We participate in the clinical education of Placement A, B and C student dietitians and the post holder will be expected to play an active role in student training. Continuous professional development is actively supported.

The hours for this post are up to 37.5 hours per week. Applications are welcome from individuals who may wish to work less than full-time and all requests will be considered in line with the post being appointed to.
