Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford. We are the Lead Employer for Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) which aims to transform, develop and deliver health care services in the community.

Following an NHSI initiative to establish 29 Pathology networks across England the University Hospital of North Midlands is currently working closely with Mid and East Cheshire NHS Trusts to establish a Pathology network across Staffordshire and Cheshire.

National Breast Screening Programme Amalgamation

An exciting opportunity has a risen for the role of Project Manager to support the amalgamation of the National Breast Screening Programmes between Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and East Cheshire Trust.

The role of the Project Manager is to lead, plan, execute, and finalise the development and implementation of the National Breast Screening Programme amalgamation. The role includes coordinating the efforts of team members so that the programme is clinically led and delivers the project according to an agreed high quality sustainable operational model which meets the National Breast Screening Programme Service Specification.

The Project Manager will also be responsible for the delivery of the project’s sub group objectives to support the amalgamation of agreed services and deliver the proposed operational model.

The post-holder will be a self-motivated, tenacious individual, with extensive demonstrable experience in the delivery of large scale projects. You will have the ability to work without supervision to tight deadlines. You will be a team player with a ‘can do attitude’, helping to deliver services across organisational boundaries in conjunction with Commissioners and Public Health England.

The post is a fixed term contract for a 6 month period and the post holder can be based at Leighton Hospital, Crewe or Macclesfield District General Hospital, Macclesfield. There will be a requirement for the successful applicant to travel independently between sites.
