Bromley Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

Stepping Stones House, Bromley

Adolescent Team - Full-time/1.0 WTE

An opportunity has a arisen for an experienced and self-motivated Occupational Therapist to join Bromley CAMHS to work with adolescents with complex emotional, psychological and mental health difficulties and their families.

The post holder will have proven post-qualification experience in providing effective and efficient Occupational Therapy for young people. The post is situated within the Bromley CAMHS Adolescent Team, the treatment pathway for children and young people who experience acute mental health conditions and who may be at risk of inpatient admission, requiring a rapid response, intensive intervention, crisis and risk management.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, undertaking mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based treatment for children and young people including individual, parent-child, sibling, family and group interventions as well as brief treatments. We strive to maintain positive interagency relationships so consultation and training to our colleagues working with the client group in partner agencies is often available alongside the varied direct clinical work.

Alongside South London & Maudsley and South West London and St George’s Trusts, we are partners in the recently created South London Partnership, delivering a successful CAMHS New Care Model and a new Forensic CAMH service across South London. As a result, we are developing a number of new services including a new Crisis Service providing emergency care in and out of hours and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy in order to help young people to access care within their communities.
