We are looking for a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist to lead our mental health provision from CAMHS into our early help services. If this was related to the thrive model, the work would fall into the getting advice and getting help quadrants.

The successful candidate needs to have experience of managing and leading clinicians from a variety of multidisciplinary backgrounds. They also need to have experience of working with commissioners, Higher Education Institutes,Health Education England and NHS England. In addition we are looking for someone with experience of leadership across different organsiations, such as Health and the Local Authority.

The successful candidate will report to the service manager for the CAMHS teams in Sheffield, as well as having professional support from the Head of Psychological Services in CAMHS.

There are some well established teams within Sheffield CAMHS already, such as the Primary Mental Health Service, the Healthy Minds Service and the Child Wellbeing Practitioners, but we are also about to embark on becoming a trailblazer sight for the Education Mental Health Teams in schools. These teams will all be responsible to the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in this new role.

There are a large number of clinical psychologists working within Sheffield and there are regular monthly meetings for all of the consultant psychologists as well as meetings with all the child psychologists on a quarterly basis. There are opportunites for professional development within the service and also outside of the service if this is felt to be needed.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£49). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
