We are looking for a Retinal Screener to join our well established Diabetic Eye Screening Programme based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

You will be required to run screening clinics in hospital and community based locations independently and will be expected to move the retinal screening equipment between clinics using a department vehicle. You will be required to travel to a range of clinic locations within the Gloucestershire area so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this post. This is a full time position and will consist of a mixture of screening days and occasional office based days. Experienced screeners or trainees will be considered for this post. You will be required to undertake a Level 3 Qualification in Diabetic Retinopathy Screening.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is flexible and able to deal with a range of different people in their day-to-day work, some with very specific needs. Previous experience of dealing with service users in a healthcare setting and experience/ability to learn new IT systems is desirable.
