Paediatric Neuromuscular Research Fellow

Nodal Point – 4 - £ 47,132 p.a excl. of LZ

Full Time – 40 hours per week

Fixed Term – 12 months

EVELINA LONDON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

DMD Hub Paediatric Neuromuscular Clinical Research Fellow post – One Full Time Fixed Term for 12 months starting in October 2019

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of DMD Hub Paediatric Neuromuscular Clinical Research Fellow at Evelina Children's Hospital. This post is funded by the DMD Hub.

The service based at the Evelina is the regional centre for Paediatric Neurology for South Thames. There are over 800 acute inpatient admissions per year and over 150 day cases. Approximately 2000 new cases are seen in outpatients (including regional clinics) and 4000 follow-ups.

This post will provide excellent opportunities for gaining experience in the clinical research and management of children and young people with neuromuscular disorders under close supervision of the Consultant Paediatric Neurologists. The fellow will be expected to work within the team coordinating patient care and facilitating clinical trial participation.

This post would be ideally suited to an individual who is post CCT in Paediatrics (or equivalent Specialist training) and who is wishing to develop skills in assessment and management of a wide range of neuromuscular conditions. This post will afford excellent experience in neuromuscular clinical research trials as well as data collection in National Neuromuscular Audits.
