Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist – ICU, Medicine & Surgery (Rotational)

We are looking recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to work within our well-established Medicine and Surgery inpatient rotational scheme.

This role will be focused on providing a high standard of Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and evaluation to clients within our Respiratory Service which include both in and out patients:

  • Critical Care Unit
  • Respiratory Ward (Respiratory Outpatients including bronchiectasis, hyperventilation, breathing retraining and chronic cough control)
  • Surgical Wards (Amputee Outpatients rehabilitation)
  • Medical Wards (Respiratory Paediatrics inc. Inpatients and CF clinics)

This post is for an existing Band 6 physiotherapist wishing to expand and develop both their clinical and managerial skills in acute care, or for a Band 5 who has completed core medical, respiratory or surgical rotations to develop into the more senior role surrounded by an experienced and supportive team. We ask that all applicants have UK NHS experience.

The successful applicant will work alongside the Team Leaders and Clinical Specialists as well as being a part of a friendly, supportive and proactive team, with a full induction and supervision programme. You will get support with CPD and the trust encourages attendance at appropriate external courses as well as participation in internal audits.

You will have the opportunity to develop your management and teaching skills by leading on in-service training, on call training sessions, supervision with junior physiotherapists and mentorship of physiotherapy students.

We are keen to promote collaborative working as we are part of the integrated Rehabilitation Service alongside the Occupational Therapists. We as a service aim to provide an optimum, progressive, forward thinking approach to patient care.
