Due to significant investment to the service, an exciting opportunity has arisen to develop and expand the service. We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Nurses to support the team in fulfilling the Trusts responsibility to improve the outcomes for Children in Care. This is an exciting new role which offers genuine opportunities for the right candidates to work with other agencies to deliver effective and sustainable support to the Children in Care of Birmingham, and those young people placed in Birmingham from other authorities, as well as delivering high quality health assessments to children and young people.

You will be a registered nurse and have clinical experience of identifying, assessing and meeting the health needs of children and young people. We would welcome applications from nurses with mental health, sexual health and learning disability experience but most importantly you will be passionate about supporting Children in Care This role will be supported by the Specialist Children in Care nurses, with opportunities for supervision, training and development. Experience and knowledge of Children in Care legislation, systems and processes is an advantage. You will also have good verbal and written communication skills, be highly motivated and have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
