An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse within theDigestive Diseases Clinical Busines Unit.

For this post, we are looking for a dynamic, motivated, forward thinking individual with clinical experience to join our team, within the Programmed Investigation Unit.

The unit covers a vast number of specialised medical conditions and has a large proportion of haematology patients, with malignant and non malignant conditions. You will be a member of the multi-professional team providing specialist nursing support.

You must be a committed innovative individual with a positive approach to service improvement and service delivery. You must be RN with at least 1 year post registration experience, with a certificate in Administration of IV Chemotherapy. You should be qualified to diploma levelwith a relevant specialist qualification. You will play a key role in supporting the education and development of staff within the unit.

Service development is key to the role and therefore we are looking for an experienced nurse who has vision and the ability to influence services at a clinical level. There is an ideal opportunity to expand your clinical skills using our competency based approach, we can offer you on-going professional and academic development.

The unit operates 5 days per week.

All posts are subject to NHS Employment Check Standards including a DBS check, if applicable. Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £39 (Standard) or £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

NB. Current employees of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who have had a satisfactory DBS check, carried out by this Trust during the last 3 years, will not be required to undertake a new one. Where staff have not had a check (classification appropriate to the post offered) within the last 3 years, they will be required to undertake and pay for this, as per the arrangements above.


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.


Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
