We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to join our Specialist Brain Injury Neurological Care & Rehabilitation Service at Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation & Neurological Care Centre, located in Hothfield just 3 miles from Ashford, Kent.

The centre is a 32 bed facility providing specialist short-term and long-term person-centred rehabilitation, therapy and support for adults with either a brain injury or other complex neurological conditions.

We also care for patients who are no longer able to be cared for at home but who with some specialist help can take part in everyday activities and live as independently as possible.

Situated within 12 acres, our service offers intense rehabilitation for adults in the post-acute phase following a brain injury right through to step-down independent living.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with the Company and regulatory expectations and requirements

  • Creating a pleasant and well maintained environment which will include the immediate external environment

  • Cleaning duties will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, scrubbing, sanitising, shampooing, reproofing of flame retardant materials, vacuum cleaning, dusting, polishing, damp wiping of all areas within the centre and removal of rubbish and discarded items

  • Laundry duties will include separating, washing and ironing of client’s clothes, bed and table linen, curtains and soft furnishings and reproofing where required

  • Reporting of any hazards defects or damage to property or equipment to the Nurse in Charge/Care Manager/Business Manager without delay

  • Working 5 out of 7 days, service requirements may also include additional assistance to catering and kitchen staff.
