We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Deputy Systems Manager to join our small but growing team of IT professionals. We support the delivery of information technology to around 6,000 NHS staff working at Stepping Hill Hospital and over 30 sites in the Stockport community.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of team leadership and managing IT projects. You must have an in-depth knowledge of modern desktop and mobile technologies and experience of patch management, software distribution, malware protection and asset management. You will be experienced in most ITIL disciplines, in particular, Change, Release and Configuration Management.

This is a senior position, occasionally deputising for the IT Systems Manager, with responsibility for developing staff and inspiring them to do their best work so we will be looking for strong interpersonal and leadership skills. At times you will be required to work off-site therefore you must have the use of your own vehicle and a full valid driving license. You will also participate in a rota to provide out of hours support for which you will receive an on-call allowance.

This is an excellent opportunity to build on your professional development in a progressive and innovative IT department.
