Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist -

Band 7

An opportunity has arisen for us to advertise a full-time Band 7 Speech Language Therapy post in our Adult Service. The role is situated in our Croydon Adult Community Out-Patient and Domiciliary Speech and Language Therapy Service. The bases are at Croydon University Hospital and Broad Green Centre, Lodge Road.

You will join a supportive network of Speech and Language Therapists who work in the Community and Acute settings.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience and knowledge in assessment, treatment and management of patients who have acquired communication and swallowing problems following neurological events working in out-patient and Domiciliary settings. Skills in Voice Therapy would be advantageous for this post, as we have many referrals from our ENT colleagues.

The post holder will be working in the hospital and Community as needed, reflecting the integrated care approach to our patients. We work closely with our therapy and medical colleagues.

The post holder will receive excellent support from the Service and a firm commitment to continuing professional development. The Speech and Language Therapy Service in Croydon has Reflective Practice groups arranged, regular in-service meetings and a good social support network.

Croydon is a dynamic town with links to Central London and the South Coast. The town centre has excellent shopping and entertainment facilities.
