Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust Dental Services holds several NHS contracts and is commissioned to provide dental access and specialised referral services in community, general dental practices, HM prisons and Immigration Removal Centres. The Dental Services operates from over 20 sites, including 3 hospital locations over Kent and Greater London. It also provides non- commissioned services including training and dental engineering, and a local authority contract to deliver oral health promotion.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Specialist in Oral Surgery, to provide Oral Surgery skills/Treatment within our Outer North East London Division, to cover Maternity Leave

As a Specialist Role, the candidate will be expected to be on the Specialists list for Oral Surgery.

The post holder will be based at our Community Dental Clinic in South Hornchurch Health Centre, in the London Borough of Havering.

Treatment is on referral, and we will be commissioned to provide Oral Surgery, set at the 'level 2' tier of treatment complexity, for the Local and Surrounding area.

The role is offered at the Band C Dental Salary level and as it is within Greater London, also attracts full London Weighting.

Hours are 0.4 WTE (15 hrs/week), however this is negotiable.

The post is fixed term and offered at 9 Months initially.

The role will involve partnership working with local dental and medical practitioners, consultants and staff in local district and London Teaching Hospitals, To act as an ambassador for the Service, promoting the highest standards of excellence in working practices.

This means that we reserve the right to change the hours detailed in this advert to full time or part-time to meet the service requirements. Please note that the salary stated is based on full time working and will be pro rata for part time working.

Agenda for Change posts based within the Dartford, Gravesham & Swanley areas also receive 5% high cost area allowance on top of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,017 and a maximum of £1,762. Please note that this element does not apply to bank positions.
