The NHS PHP is a National (England wide) service for Doctors with mental health and addiction issues which may be affecting their ability to work safely and effectively, or return to work. The PHP service aims to deliver positive outcomes in relation to -

  • improvement in mental health and social functioning

  • numbers returning to work/retraining

  • reduction in risk to patients and the public

  • reduction in regulatory involvement

This is an exciting time to Join the Practitioner Health Programme as we launch our services across Northen England.

The Office Administrator will work alongside PHP/GPH clinical, administrative and management staff in supporting the delivery of timely health care to practitioner-patients.

This will involve dealing with practitioner-patient enquiries and requests in a courteous, efficient and empathetic manner. It will involve ensuring that letters and reports are produced promptly, that appointments and schedules are made, and that scanning, filing, and record keeping occurs in a timely and organised way. The role will also include raising purchase orders for goods and services as well asrecording external referrals accurately. Occasionalreport-writing for clinicians will be required.It is essential that a strict code of confidentiality is adhered to at all times

The role will involve prioritizing conflicting work demands, and effectively communicating verbally and in writing, with a wide range of internal and external colleagues, exercising tact and diplomacy.

Travel may be required on an ad hoc basis to our Birmingham & London offices to attend meetings and events
