This is an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding Liaison Psychiatry Service which is accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatry as part of the Psychiatric Liaison Accreditation Network.

Liaison Psychiatry Services in Addenbrookes Hospital provide prompt, specialist assessment of people in the general hospital who are experiencing co-existing physical and mental health difficulties.

The service is comprised of Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Band 7 Specialist Liaison Practitioners and Psychological Well being Practitioners . In addition to direct clinical care, the Liaison Psychiatry Service provide a wide range of training to the acute trusts and beyond, staff support, management activities and service development.

We welcome applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic mental health nurses and practitioners to join our Liaison Psychiatry Team. Interested candidates should be RMN qualified or equivalent with a minimum 3 years post qualifying work in psychiatry. You must be able to demonstrate safe and competent inter agency and multi-disciplinary working whilst providing assessment and care planning with people who are in crisis and experiencing mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will work predominantly in the Older Peoples Team, with the transferable skills and flexibility to work within all other Liaison Psychiatry teams within the department.
