GP Clinical Lead

Job Reference: J158-A-19-0922

Employer:
Principal Medical Ltd
Location:
Banbury
Salary:
Competitive - subject to experience

PML is a growing organisation providing valued health services to diverse local communities in Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. The company is owned and run by GP shareholders who steer the organisation and make decisions about which services the organisation should provide for local patients.

We believe that local care providers, who know and understand the health needs of their own patients, and who are used to working collaboratively in their region, can provide the best quality and most cost effective integrated primary care services. We work to develop services we know people want and need so that patients get the best care options for their circumstances.

After over a decade in business, we have a proven track record of success in delivering a diverse range of services and we are continually looking to bid for new contract opportunities and to recruit motivated and ambitious staff to join us.

We are seeking an experienced and senior GP Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership and inspiration in order to coordinate and enhance the clinical team contribution and performance in improving patient care. You will also oversee and improve both the quality and safety of services being provided and prepare the Surgery which has 14,000 patients to integrate, with the new Banbury Cross Health Centre which is currently being established.

We will support you in progressing your specialist area of clinical interest in return for your help in championing the future development of the practice as part of the local health economy working alongside the Medical Director and Director of Clinical Services to implement additional services.
Banbury Cross Health Centre is being formed through the phased integration of several local GP practices to ensure future sustainability and adopt good practice in delivering patients services. All practices involved have been rated good by the CQC. We are a training centre for GPs, and for our newly qualified GPs, have adopted a mentoring approach provided by our experienced GPs. A larger facility for patient services is also providing us the opportunity to expand our research capabilities with the aim of becoming a centre for training and research excellence.

For informal enquiries please contact Toby Quartley Medical Director, toby.quartley@nhs.net or Tony Summersgill, Director of Clinical Services - t.summersgill@nhs.net

Closing date:31st October 2019
