An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse, band 5, to join our team within this busy, friendly acute Renal and medical floor.

Both ward on the 7th floor score green in the latest NAAS report. The 7th floor received the Katherine Felix award for nurse development 2016 and Overall winner in The Patient Experience Network National Awards 2017,

The Role:

  • Working within our team you will have the opportunity to experience the acute phase of illness in Renal and General Medicine and management of a chronic illness in the outpatients services.
  • As a member of our team part of your role will be to support the senior nurses in the management of the ward and development of the nursing team.

The Person

  • You must be a Registered Nurse with a keen interest in acute medicine
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Enthusiastic and eager to expand your knowledge and skills
  • Flexible with a keen sense of team work
  • Fully committed to the ‘Journey to Outstanding’ for the Trust.

In return we will offer you direct support from the Ward Manager and an opportunity to continue with professional development and lifelong learning programmes such as the Role Transition program and the Band 5 Development program. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop their skills and knowledge of Acute Renal and General Medical nursing.

This is a rotational post which will include weekend and night working. We are able to accommodate either full or part time hours.

Hours: 37.5 per week, we are willing to consider both full and part time hours. This is a Rotational shift post, which will include weekend and night working.

Salary: AfC Band £24,214 to £30,112 per annum - pro rata for part time
