Looking for a job in Surrey as an Occupational Therapist join us at CSH Surrey. Within easy reach of London, Surrey offers the balance between city and countryside all accessible via major road networks M25, M23, A3 and M3. Experience of working with children, young people and families with or without disabilities is desirable but not essential, so if you are looking for a change or are newly qualified we recognise that transferable skills are a valuable asset. This post will offer the successful candidates the opportunity to work alongside our supportive team of experienced therapists and assistants in providing a high quality occupation based provision to children aged 0-19 years, who have a variety of conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and learning difficulties. You will work within community settings including nurseries and schools, seeing children within their occupational environment. You will carry out essential roles within the Occupational Therapy process, including assessment, equipment recommendation, advice and training, group and workshop facilitation and individual therapy. We are a proactive service responsive to best practice evidence, we deliver services targeted at the whole population supporting early year’s settings, schools and parents to meet needs pre- referral. Due to the community nature of this post the candidates will need to be able to work independently, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team. Employed by CSH Surrey as part of the Surrey-wide Children and Family Health Surrey service Children and Family Health Surrey is the new, Surrey-wide NHS community health service for children and young people from birth up to 19 years of age (up to 25 for young adults with additional needs) and their parents and carers. It also provides some services in parts of North East Hampshire and Farnham. By working together as one service, Children and Family Health Surrey will ensure children and young people continue to be at the centre of the care they receive as well as improve access to healthcare services across the county and in north east Hampshire and Farnham. You will join a service that will be delivered through an exciting new partnership between three of Surrey’s established and respected community healthcare providers and employers: CSH Surrey and First Community Health and Care and Surrey’s mental health provider, Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust. Together they provide a single community health service that includes health visiting, school-age nursing and immunisations, therapies (dietetics, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy), emotional wellbeing services and specialist health services for children with medical, physical and learning disability needs. Recruitment - Golden Hello

Successful applicants, who have not worked for CSH within the last 12 months, will receive an amount of £2000 paid in two instalments: - £1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of probation. These payments are pro-rata for part- time posts. Payments will be subject to tax and NI National Insurance in the usual way.We don’t operate Golden Hellos for Band 7 or Band 8 posts, Bank posts or fixed term contracts.
