About the Role

Our Bank Physiotherapists provide much needed to support to our teams, during periods of holiday, absences and increase in the demand for our services. 

Working as a  Band 5 or 6 Bank Physiotherapist you will work closely with all multi-disciplinary teams and colleagues across the inpatient, community and outpatient settings.

You will be responsible for your own case load  in assisting the therapy team by providing palliative rehabilitation to our patients, both in the community and inpatient unit. You will also be responsible for providing support to therapy lead clinics as required. 

About You

You will be a qualified physiotherapist with current registration with HCPC.

You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of a palliative rehabilitative and enablement approach and application to practice.

You will have experience of working with palliative care patients, ideally gained within a Hospice or Hospital environment. 

You will have experience of working and supporting patients within an outpatient environment. 

Ideally you will have experience of running therapy lead groups.

You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of palliative rehabilitation practice, knowledge and skills and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

You will be an organised individual who has good computer literacy and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise your own workload.

 

You will be required to hold a current driving licence and have the use of a vehicle with business insurance as part of this role.

 As an NHS Partner, we will continue to make contributions to your Pension Scheme, subject to meeting qualifying conditions.   

The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check the cost of which is covered by the Hospice.
