We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to appoint a Speciality Doctor in Paediatrics at East Cheshire NHS Trust.

We are a friendly, forward thinking team dedicated to providing high quality care for our patients and are looking for dynamic colleagues to join our team and complement the existing clinical expertise. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team across our integrated acute service.

Daytime work will include supervision and provision of care on the Special Care Baby Unit, Postnatal ward and General Paediatric Ward. As a member of the team you will provide support, supervision and education for junior doctors on a day-to-day basis, and take a role in the organisation of the department workload.

You will also be invited to take part in audit, clinical governance and the education programme within the department.

You will have a personal Consultant Supervisor with whom you will discuss your training needs and objectives and ensure a tailored programme is in place to achieve these goals.

The unit promotes compliance with the RCPCH Facing the Future Standards.

Macclesfield is an attractive town located in the east of Cheshire. It is close to the county borders of Greater Manchester to the north, Derbyshire to the east and Staffordshire to the south. The Cheshire Peak District is a breathtaking destination that encompasses nearly 100 square miles of Cheshire’s peaks and plains, including part of the Peak District National Park. Manchester, Stockport, Stoke and Birmingham are easy road or rail journeys. London is only 2 hours away by rail, Manchester airport is a half hour drive. The area offers a very attractive living and working environment and is considered an ideal area in which to bring up a family. Many excellent schools are located close by

Interview dates will be flexible around candidate availability, SKYPE interviews will be available for candidates currently based overseas.
