Bay Medical Group is proud to be the general practice serving the population of Morecambe and Heysham. We operate out of 5 sites and deliver general medical services to c54,000 patients.

Formed in 2016/17 by established legacy practices in the town, we are fortunate to be a single at scale provider in a distinct geographical area and as such were able to establish the Primary Care Network (PCN) for Morecambe and Heysham in July 2019, with Bay Medical Group as the only Practice in the PCN.

Our patients are at the heart of everything we do. We have been successfully diversifying our workforce over the past few years and developing pathways which enable our patients to see the right person, at the right time in the right place. As a Practice and PCN we work closely with our Integrated Care Community and other local health, social care and third sector providers to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population.

Bay Medical Group has an opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join us at this exciting time, to help us deliver excellent patient care and improve the health and well-being of the people of Morecambe where we serve the health care needs of over 53,000 patients.

We are able to offer you:

  • Working a mix of telephone triage and patient-facing care.
  • You will be part of a supportive Advanced Clinical Practitioner, GP and Pharmacist team to develop and deliver the Practice’s Unscheduled Care Service to our patients who have ‘on the day’ needs.
  • Peer support and a planned educational programme for clinical teams
  • The chance to work with students as we are a teaching practice working closely with the Deanery and local universities (as part of the Federation Enhanced Training Practice hub) to support GP and trainee Nurse placements.
  • A large supportive team including back office teams, Practice Nurses, Medicines Management team including pharmacist and Patient Advisors and Admin, which will allow you to focus on what you do best.
  • Holistic approach to care through close working relationships with the extended Primary Care Health Team including in-house physio appointments, Long Term Conditions Team,District Nurses and the ICC
  • NHS pension scheme, 5-6 weeks leave per annum and access to an Occupational Sick pay scheme after first year of service
