Our clinical facilities are excellent, as we have invested in state of the art theatres, Critical Care, Emergency Department and our Childrens Wards (to name but a few). We have also invested in our people, ensuring we have the right number of the right people delivering care, fostering a culture of compassion, support and excellence.

Spring is almost here and what better time to develop your Nursing career? Ward 21B is a 24-bedded rehabilitation unit at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Cheshire. Our main focus is helping patients to recover after surgery or illness, enabling them to return home or to another environment and resume their independence. The strength of the unit is the multidisciplinary approach focused on a safe and timely discharge. The work we do requires specific psychological and physical intervention and challenges traditional nursing roles.

To succeed you’ll need to enjoy working closely with Therapists and other professional groups, and have a broad skill set with the ability to confidently manage emergency situations and deteriorating patients. However, a creative approach and enthusiasm are central to the ethos of the unit and are important qualities in all members of the team.

In return we’ll make sure that you are fully supported in advancing your practice and will value your contribution. We’re a team who believe in pulling together for the benefit of our patients.

We’d like you to come and see the unit in action so please feel free to call and discuss the role with me (Flick, Ward Manager) or arrange a time to come in and see the unit in action.
