Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford. The Trust has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following the recent inspection of its services and leadership and Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust has been named a Top40 hospital at CHKS Top Hospital Awards 2019.

Our clinical facilities are excellent, as we have invested in state of the art theatres, Critical Care, Emergency Department and our Childrens Wards (to name but a few). We have also invested in our people, ensuring we have the right number of the right people delivering care, fostering a culture of compassion, support and excellence.

Following an NHSI initiative to establish 29 Pathology networks across England the University Hospital of North Midlands is currently working closely with Mid and East Cheshire NHS Trusts to establish a Pathology network across Staffordshire and Cheshire.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust is building on its Foundation Trust status and impressive track record and requires a Project Surveyor to manage and deliver both new build and refurbishment projects within the Trust’s capital investment and minor works programmes.

Reporting to the Senior Capital Projects Manager, you will be a key member of a dynamic, in house design team (which includes both electrical and mechanical disciplines) and have responsibility for the design and management of delegated construction projects. You will integrate with all sections of the Estates and Facilities Division and liaise with Trust staff and project professionals.

To succeed in the role you will have proven design and project management experience within the construction environment, together with a sound knowledge and understanding of procurement procedures and relevant statutory and preferably healthcare specific guidance. A thorough working knowledge of CDM and other Health and Safety legislation and guidance is essential.

Possessing a relevant professional qualification (HNC minimum), you will have the skills to prepare feasibility studies, specification of works, design drawings, contract documentation, project time-tables, manage contractors on site, organise and chair site meetings and prepare value for money and technical reports.

As a valuable member of our team, you will be based in a modern office environment with personal access to a computer workstation with both AutoCAD and Revit packages and access to the Trusts corporate E-mail and Internet facilities.
