Recruitment Assistant

We are proud of the work that we do here at the ROH and this is because of our exceptional people who role model our values every day for patients, colleagues and visitors.   Our staff and patients also tell us through feedback that ROH is a great place to work.

We are looking to recruit a Recruitment Assistant to support our Recruitment Team in administering our end-to-end recruitment process for all staff joining the Trust, from Doctors to Nurses to Accountants to Cleaners. We are keen to ensure that all new starters have a smooth transition into the Trust and are compliant with NHS Employers standards. We process multiple offers and are an extremely busy department so there is no chance of being bored!

Working within the recruitment office, you would be the first point of contact for visitors and dealing with enquiries by phone, email and face-to-face. You will need to be able to use your initiative as well as being able to multi task and work to tight deadlines. The bulk of your work will be to support the wider recruitment team; from issuing offer letters, processing pre-employment checks, drafting employment contracts and entering information onto our recruitment systems. Based in the HR Department, professionalism, integrity and discretion are key to this role.

This is a demanding role with a high volume of work coming through and tight deadlines to meet. You must be able to work at pace and find solutions to challenges in a pressurised environment.

If you wish to have informal chat about the role before applying, please contact Sharon Malhi on 07967 443020

Please note that we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if sufficient applications are received prior to the advertised closing date. Candidates should assume that if they have not been contacted by the Human Resources Department within 4 weeks of the advertised closing date that they have not been shortlisted for interview.

Applications from job seekers who require tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA nationals who require a tier 2 sponsorship may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Border Agency requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit UK Border Agency website.
