**Fixed term contract / secondment opportunity for 2 years.**

We have an exciting development opportunity to establish and manage a new Macmillan Information Pod at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

We are working in partnership with Macmillan to appoint to a two year fixed term / secondment post for a Registered Nurse or AHP to establish a brand new Information Pod and develop the service.

Your primary contact will be with patients recently diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatment, offering information and support, signposting to specialist services and liaising with the clinical teams. You will work closely with the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist Teams, the Macmillan Integrated Care Team and the Big C Information Centre to provide seamless care and support to our patients.

As post holder you will:

  • Need advanced communication skills
  • Work autonomously within the Information Pod as well as working as part of the wider cancer team
  • Need the ability to assess, care plan and sign post
  • Need audit and reporting skills
  • Need presentation skills
  • To work closely with all disciplines and external providers

Full time: 37.5 hours per week.
